This programme brings together three powerful musical voices, each using the viola and piano duo as a means of deep personal expression. All three english works were written in the early 20th century, yet each composer reveals a distinctive style shaped by their inner life, aesthetic ideals, and historical moment. Together these pieces trace a path through tenderness, yearning, passion, and quiet strength - all articulated through the rich, human timbre of the viola.
